Pre-Treatment
From a simple water softener to de-alk or reverse osmosis systems you need the capability and expertise in selection, installation and monitoring to ensure steam quality is not impaired by poor quality feed waters.
It is also useful to consult with an expert with regard to exploring alternative water sources, water conservation and water recycling projects.
Condensate Treatment
Poorly maintained condensate lines can be detrimental to a steam raising plant. Both acid and caustic attack of condensate systems is common and this can lead to further more widespread plant failure.
For example, a poorly or untreated copper condensate system can degrade, thus causing rapid and severe galvanic corrosion of boiler tubes. Similarly a poorly designed system may contain many mixed metals or areas of low flow.
In addition, blockages at steam traps will reduce steam quality and possibly cause product contamination.
