It’s important you have full L8 monitoring compliance [in accordance with HSE L8, checklist 2] completed by trained competent engineers. All our engineers hold valid Legionella Awareness Certification [City and Guilds accredited]
Site Water Safety Management Log Books
It’s also important you have a Water Safety Management Manual specific to your property so as to aid in compliance with the requirements of the HSE ACoP L8.
Clean and Chlorination of Water Storage Vessels
If you need cleaning and chlorination of water storage vessels then Western Environmental can deal with all forms of water storage tanks ranging from small one piece polypropylene storage tanks through to larger sectional vessels and underground reservoirs. In all cases either Chlorine Dioxide or Sodium Hypochlorite can be used.
Pre-Commissioning Cleaning [BS 6700]
Pre-commissioning is important so you can have chlorination of newly installed domestic hot and cold water systems in accordance with BS6700, as well as the chlorination of mains fed water systems by way of direct injection, in all cases using either Chlorine Dioxide or Sodium Hypochlorite, completed by our trained engineers.
Microbiological Sampling & Analysis [including Legionella]
Many clients throughout the UK require routine water sampling with analysis completed by independent UKAS accredited laboratories. Typical water analysis testing includes:
- Legionella screening
- Total Viable Counts (TVC) – at both 22°C and 37°C
- E-coli
- Coliforms
- Pseudomonas
- Cryptosporidium
- Giarddia
- Sulphate Reducing Bacteria
